Forestry Mowing

Forestry mowing also known as “mulching” is an effective process to remove trees and clear brush with a single machine. It is safe for the environment, returns nutrients to the soil, reduces soil erosion, and increases your land value by enhancing your property’s visual appeal. Forestry mulching is an excellent method for land clearing or preparing a site and is a highly eco-friendly way no matter the size of the property.

Forestry Mowing is safe for the environment because it not only returns nutrients to the soil, but it also reduces soil erosion. Forestry mulching is a great way to  increase your land value by enhancing the visual appeal of your property.

Mulching is done for land clearing, right-of-way, pipeline/power line, wildfire prevention and management, vegetation management, invasive species control, food plots, shooting lanes and wildlife habitat restoration. As well as clearing of pastures and trails.

Right of Way Clearing

Clearing the right of way involves cutting, mowing and spraying a minimum of 15 feet from all sides of a single phased electric line, and a minimum of 20 feet from a three phased electric line. Compact tractors with mulching heads can do fence line work, detail work, and can handle even down to the heavier grasses found on right-of-way property.

Preventing Erosion

Forestry mulching with our machines will leave the soil structure intact, reducing and eliminating the possibility of erosion. This will prevent invasive plant species to germinate and regenerate even thicker. The mulch from the forestry mower will help keep the soil in place while protecting the root systems of the ground cover plants and natural grasses. This will benefit your land over time to help keep the property’s drainage in good shape and is great for the health of the environment. Other land clearing services can use heavy machinery and equipment causing disturbance in the soil.

Grind and Mulch

A Fecon mulching head (our equipment) will grind up the tree and form a bed of mulch with minimal soil disturbance. The mulching head minimizes erosion and ground disturbance. It also minimizes seed germination of invasive seed species. Mulching the trees furthermore sequesters the carbon and traps it in the soil.
